PHARMACOKINETICS

Assessing the ocular drug distribution and pharmacokinetics of your active molecule following dosing is a critical regulatory dataset, and guides decisions for pharmacodynamics (PD) studies. Studies are conducted in rodents, rabbits, canines, or swine, and include additional in-vivo endpoints, such as systemic exposure in plasma or serum.

Our experts use a comprehensive ocular dissection technique that ensures each tissue matrix is collected correctly and minimizes the chance of cross-contamination. Powered Research also offers tissue homogenization, allowing for the appropriate preparation of tissue matrices prior to bioanalytical assessment.

Ocular matrices collected include:

  • Conjunctiva

  • Cornea

  • Aqueous Humor

  • Iris/Ciliary Body

  • Lens

  • Vitreous Humor

  • Retina

  • Choroid/RPE

  • Other tissues upon request
